Antigone Poem

Antigone loved her brother so,
She felt it only right to give him a proper burial.
Although Creon said no,
This did not stop Antigone from comforting her sorrow.

Antigone does not deny committing this crime,
She was willing to put her life on the line.
Creon decides to put her in a tomb,
Where she will stay until she meets her doom.

All of this brings along the soothsayer Tiresias,
He says there will be a wrath if Creon goes through with it.
He was right, for now his son is slain,

The same for his wife, as she couldn’t cope with the pain.
