Antigone Poem, By Wes Ballenger
Antigone, Antigone
why hath thou done this to me?
Thou challenged my rule
thou ignorant fool,
now you've become the death of me.
First my son
and then my wife,
curse you girl for all my strife.
A lonely king
whose heart doth sting,
a painful throne
whose fault is mine own.
Pain and shame now all I see,
why, oh why,
Antigone
You know, this is simple, but it really works. Nice work!
